Hello Friends!
We hope you are doing well!

East
Texas in the Spring
After studying the atonement, we
picked up where we had left off in church history (at
the Reformation), and studied up to present day
(briefly...in one week :)
It was really interesting!
We were so encouraged and inspired at how God
uses individuals to truly change the world by advancing
His Kingdom. It
was awesome learning about Martin Luther, William
Tyndale, and others who suffered tremendous persecution
for translating the Bible into the common language so
that all people might be able to read God’s truth for
themselves. Tyndale
was later burned at the stake for his Bible translation.
It was humbling to learn how so many of the
freedoms we take for granted as Christians today were
won by the lives of martyrs.
The liberty to read the Bible for yourself in
your own language, to live and worship according to your
conscience based on the Word of God, and even to be
baptized as an adult are treasures that other Christians
in the past died to uphold.
We also learned the essential truth that the
Kingdom of God advances from internal to external.
It is first a transformation of heart that will
later affect every sphere of society.
We are freshly encouraged to walk in obedience to
God’s call on our lives that He may use us to help
bring revival in this nation and the world.
It is our desire that every person may walk in
intimacy with the Lord.
After church history, we studied
Biblical principles of government and economics.
Specifically, we looked at America’s founding
and learned how our nation’s constitution comes
directly from Biblical principles and values – the
idea that all people are created equal in the image of
God and thus have equal value as well as the inalienable
rights each person possesses such as life, liberty, and
the pursuit of happiness.

We began to see what God was doing
with America—raising up a nation built upon the
foundation of Biblical truth.
It was humbling to read from one of our founding
forefathers his belief that America can only be
successful as each citizen continues to be internally
governed by the Bible.
We see it as a call to prayer for our nation,
that we may return to our foundation and seek God’s
face.
Recently, we have been called
together here as a body to pray for our sister, Claire
Boettcher. She
is the Reading Class (Kindergarten) teacher at the
Christian Heritage School here, and she has cancer.

We have been meeting outside of her
trailer, praying and worshiping together.
It has been awesome to see her faith grow even
stronger throughout this trial as she rests in the Lord.
God has brought us together as a body to
intercede for our sister, and it’s been amazing to see
the unity He is bringing to us—knitting us together as
a family. Our prayer times have turned to worship and joy.
We give thanks for who He is and the peace that
comes with trusting Him.
Just recently, we have felt Him leading us to
surrender Claire fully into His loving arms.
We continue to pray for healing but mostly for
His perfect will to be done and His kingdom to come in
her life as well as ours.
We know that it will be victory either
way...healing on this side of heaven and new physical
life or a beautiful homecoming with the Lord.
We would love for you to join us in prayer also.
Another praise we have to share is
that we are victorious over our 1 John translation!
Hallelujah :)
We finished translating it from Greek to English
and are now working on our epistle projects.
Jason is studying 1 Timothy, and Beth is studying
Colossians. We
will be writing a commentary and presenting a teaching
on these to the class in June.
On June the 23rd, we
will have a commencement ceremony for the end of our
class time in School of the Bible.
After that, we will be joining a few others from
our class to go on outreach.
We will be teaching and serving in ministries
here in Tyler and also in Houston for five weeks from
the end of June through July. In August, we will be home visiting with family and friends
both in San Marcos and Waxahachie.
We’re looking forward to this! :)
God has continued to provide for
our tuition through so many faithful friends and
supporters. We
now have approximately $1500 left to go. We are praying
and believing God that this will be paid off before
outreach.
We feel God calling us to stay and
minister and invest in the ministry here in Tyler for a
season. Jason
will be coming back on staff with School of the Bible as
a teacher next year, and Beth will be returning as a
student in the Teachers for the Nations program.
This school is focused on the Christian view of
history, government, and education.
The focus is to see how God has been bringing
greater liberty to all people throughout history by
using individuals who step out in obedience to Him.
Beth will be studying the Biblical principles of
government and working with the Christian Heritage
School (K-12) here also.
It has been awesome to see God give her passion
back for discipleship and teaching the next generation
in the ways of the Lord.
Growing Kids God’s Way will be another class,
which will focus on Christian parenting. We are looking forward to this next season (after a time of
rest and refreshing!)
God has given us a heart for Kenya,
possibly serving in that nation through discipling
children and teaching pastors.
We will continue to seek Him for His timing in
that, but for now we are happy to invest 100% in the
ministry of YWAM Tyler.
It’s exciting to see Him bring the nations here
for training and then to send them back for the
transformation of their own societies.

We love you so much and pray that
you may continue to walk in the fullness of the Lord.
May you abide in His presence!
In Him,
Jason and Beth
