Our
Vision:
To
inspire, teach, and disciple the nations in the character of
God and His Kingdom

Hello Friends!
We can’t believe how fast the summer is
flying by! God has definitely answered our prayers for rain
after last summer’s drought here in East Texas. We have had
rain in abundance. It seems like the sun is shining a bit
more these days, and blue skies have returned. (Sadly, the
normal summer heat is making a come back as well.)
Jason finished up his teaching with
School of the Bible at the end of June and has been working
on various maintenance projects around our campus this
summer. Beth has been working through a temp agency with
the Northeast Texas Public Health District (health
department). The people she works with are exceptionally
friendly, and she does mostly clerical work filing, copying,
and answering the phone. Recently, her hours increased to
8:30 to 5:00 which has been a bit more challenging but a
blessing financially. (Her hours in the beginning were
10-2.)
Stop The Press
Folks!
We just had another sonogram
performed and were surprised to find out that
were are having a boy!!!!
The first sonogram was at 18 weeks and done on a machine
that was not quite as nice as this one. The baby
likes to curl up into a ball which can make it hard to
see. Even this time the sonogram tech had to buzz
the baby a bit to get him to move. Once the baby
moved, the evidence was clear that we are having a boy.
What a great profile of the
handsome guy!
Beth is now 24
1/2 weeks along, and the pregnancy is going so smoothly!
It is great fun to feel him move these days…little
flutters at first and now Beth’s stomach flinches at
times with his movements. Jason has felt him move
a little, but he
seems to be shy when he puts his hand on Beth’s stomach
J. The
second trimester has been much better energy wise for
Beth, but she still enjoys naps after work and snacks
throughout the day.
This summer has also been fun with
friends and family coming to visit and stay with us here.
Beth’s mom, Jason’s mom, Beth’s friend Lizzy, and Drew and
Hilary (Beth’s brother and sister-in-law) have each spent a
night. We’re looking forward to an upcoming visit from our
Alaskan friends as well. Our home is always open, and we
would love more visits!
We
have other exciting news to share. In the second week
of August, we will be moving to a house here on campus.
It is a very cute house with 2 bedrooms (one for us and
one for Hannah J),
1 bathroom, and an extra room we will use as Jason’s
study. A Korean family will be moving into our trailer
on the 15th of August to do School of the
Bible. We are so blessed to have more space, and a
great place to use for hospitality.
Jason will be the
Curriculum Director of School of the Bible this next year
because the previous director and his family are moving to California to minister
there. Please pray for us as we move into these new areas of
responsibility.
This next section is to
give you the big picture of YWAM international and here in
Tyler, so that you will have a better understanding of the
organization with which we are serving.

________________________________________________
We hope that gave you a
better idea of the ministry of YWAM. Of course, our
primary service here is in the training side of things:
School of the Bible and Christian Heritage School.
School of the Bible equips people from many different
nations for the work of the ministry, and Christian Heritage
School lays a Biblical foundation in the lives of children,
equipping them to fulfill the work of the ministry in the
nations to which God calls them. (Beth is planning on
starting the school year teaching in the Reading Class again
but will be passing the torch to another teacher as November
approaches and Hannah makes her arrival. She would
like to lead a ladies' small group from School of the Bible
as well.)
It
is a great pleasure for us to be involved in what God is
doing around the world through this organization. It
has grown since the 1960's to be one of the largest
world-wide missions
organizations. It is our prayer that it
would continue to multiply as we seek God about His vision
for the nations.
We love you and hope you have a
great day,
Jason and Beth
